âThe whole program was terrific.
You have given us a great framework, elements of which I know I'll return to again and again.
Two modules were real highlights for me: Your Benchmark, Your Standard and From Good to Exceptional.
I've started a new approach to working with slate as a consequence of doing them. Thank you!â
Kate Butler
âI have finished another painting and have booked an exhibition in May, mostly new work. Loads of sketches for new ceramics, all thanks to the Make Exceptional Work course. It freed me from many obstacles that were mostly created by me.â
âAmy's gentle, yet firm guidance allowed me to see beyond the visual and conceptual, letting me set myself free into untravelled paths of my practice. This course is a true eye and mind opener.âÂ
Magda Dmowska
âThe immediate flow on effect was the collection of keepsakes I produced for my exhibition Tender Shadows which opened after the program finished. Inspired by ideas presented in the module From Good to Exceptional, I worked with a form that I had already developed and extended its potential with new ways in which I used the silk.Â
I feel that my work for this exhibition was a step up from the previous year and was clearly influenced by the sessions, readings and conversation that were part of Making Exceptional Work.â
